| Abstract: |
| Using a multi-scale method, the characteristics of vertical circulation adjacent to fronts are discussed for weak nonlinear interaction between gravity waves.It is found that when the profile of mean velocity shows a minimum value with height and the radius of its curvature is less than 10 km, the vertical circulation performs solitarily. |
